For updated information!
I teach guitar/classical/bass/ukulele/theory lessons to various pupils ranging from primary school children to adults and from beginners to advanced students and have also taught workshops in big band music and rock and pop workshops.
Experience teaching left handed pupils mainly due to my first guitar teacher being left handed so I’m very used to viewing the guitar from different ways round.
Northern Music Academy
Since January 2009 I have been a tutor at the Northern Music Academy in Pontefract near Leeds. Here I teach classical, acoustic, electric and bass guitar to both children and adults. The younger students work through either the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) for the classical students or the Rockschool or R.G.T. (Registry of Guitar Tutors) grades for the electric or acoustic pupils. The older students who are less interested in grades focus on what they to want to achieve individually and I tailor each lesson around them.
The Northern Music Academy caters for all kinds of musicians covering all styles and all age ranges.
Leeds College of Music
I’m an ensembles tutor and workshop leader at Leeds College of Music, helping teach students how to develop their skills in playing and writing in ensembles. In the workshops I work alongside other tutors to provide a variety of in depth workshops covering subjects varying from the Music Industry to Recording and Production Skills.
I am the guitar teacher for Westbrook Lane Primary School and I help run and teach the HASSRA Leeds Guitar Club in Quarry House, Leeds.
